My television is on the first floor, my router is in the basement - how should I connect my VBox?

TV > VBOX

We do not recommend a wireless connection for the VBox, as it can affect video quality and stability. If your home networking does not allow placing a direct internet cable from your router to your VBox, we recommend purchasing Power Line Adaptors or Home Plugs as they provide a stable alternative to a wireless connection.

Home Plugs can be very helpful if your TV is located in another room than your router. Home Plugs come 2 in a box. You simply plug one into the power outlet near your modem, and connect it to the modem via the ethernet cable. Plug the second Home Plug close to where you want your VBox and again, connect the Home Plug to the device via an ethernet cable. Make sure you do not use any power bars, as it will not work properly.

You can purchase Home Plugs on our site; we offer the TP-Link AV600 Nano Powerline Adapter  and it is priced very competitively at $49.65, compared to other electronics retailers.
