Here are the steps to set up the Sagemcom 2864 in Bridge mode. This is only recommend for advanced users who would like to use their own separate device (router or otherwise). This feature disables advanced features of the Sagemcom modem.
Please note: you will need to setup an alternate device (such as a router) to log into our service using your VMedia PPP username and password. For assistance with your router, please contact your router manufacturer for support and ask them how to setup your router in PPPoE mode.
- Navigate to the modem's web interface by entering 192.168.2.1 in the address bar of your browser.
- Login using the default username and password. It will be admin for both, in lowercase.
- Click the Internet link on the left hand side of page.
- Click on the Internet tab, at the top of the page.
- Clear the User ID and Password fields.
- Click the Save button.
- Click on the Wireless link on the left hand side of page.
- Select Disable for Primary Wireless Network and Guest Wireless Network.
- Click the Save button.
- Click on the Network link on the left hand side of page.
- Select Disable for DHCP Status.
- Click the Save button.
