What happens if the internet is down?

VMedia Protect relies on your internet connection as the primary source of communication with our central monitoring service. VMedia’s Protect plan does not include a secondary communication channel. For those interested in additional protection and redundancy, VMedia’s Protect Plus plan includes cellular (GSM) backup, which will be used in the event of a power outage, or when internet connectivity is limited.
